Felvargs | April PvP - Vedis vs. InfiniteIt was time to fight. Before she even arrived, the grey-furred felvarg felt the thrill of battle already beginning to spread through her core like uncontrollable wildfire. Any anxiety she would've normally felt at heading into the village of Reynir was obscured by that feeling of quiet anxiety building in her chest. She rarely ventured to these more well-populated towns, easily unnerved - though she'd never show it - by so many dire wolves so close together. She preferred the solitude of the lands outside the villages, content to avoid most others. As far as she was concerned, others usually brought nothing but trouble.. and though she was confident she could easily conquer whatever the world threw at her, things were simply easier on her own. And if she was being honest, she'd never really been a bit fan of the ocean, so she was left with a bit of distaste in her mouth immediately upon arriving.
Although Vedis had yet to participate in one of these official sparring competition

Spring in Ulfrheim brought back the oh so missed sunlight, washing the landscape in its soft yellow glow. It sprang forth the flowers that had long since been hiding, animals of all different kingdoms filling up on the sudden abundance of food. There were plenty of reasons to feel joy in the warm rays, several things to make one smile. If you were in the sunlight, that is. There were places on the island that appeared to never know the light of day, darkness choking out any hope of light, suffocating even the smallest ray that attempted to work its way through. The Pass of Heidrun was one of these places, hardly anything making it through the thick canopy overhead. Most Felvarg’s tried to avoid it at all costs, but one pale female slipped down the lonesome path. Her feathered tail swished behind her as she was swallowed up by the darkness, nearly disappearing from sight in a matter of minutes. Just like that she was gone, almost as if she had never existed

The albino Felvarg was, for once, reluctant to drag himself to the monthly competition that was his very purpose of existing. Everything was becoming a chore to the male, the Felvargs he was paired up against always not seeming like enough. Too easy to take down. Too fragile to even know the real meaning of battle. The part where you are forced to sink your teeth in deep, taste that crimson substance that drains from the enemy. The part where you fight to the death. Yes, Infinite always walked away with some scars and wounds here and there, but for the most part his body was purified - a pristine white - when he showed his face to the world once more. He stuck to his own word about keeping away from others, not daring to ever step into a group of friends or family ever again. As much as he hated to admit it, there was a close call at one stage. The albino learned too much about this feather

May 1v1 (Jutka vs. Infinite)The Vale weeds out the weak from the strong.  Jutka remembered the old pup's tale well, but it was funny how something that seemed a challenge to overcome in youth now struck a shiver of fear through her heart in adulthood.  It wasn't that she was afraid of ghosts!  She was too suspicious to really believe in lost souls and all that.  The omnipresent mist, however, and the shadows that never seemed to give way to sun, those things left her uneasy.  It was unnatural.  She and the rest of the competitors come to prove themselves in combat stood more stiffly than usual, more quiet.  Jutka shivered, but was careful to keep her expression trained in neutrality.  She had already embarrassed herself in her last battle.  This time, she vowed, she would come away victorious.
Her opponent was to be a Felvarg called "Infinite".  It seemed a fitting name for a place like the Vale, so ethereal and strange.  They called him the Out

The male albino released a shaky breath, in a way that sounded like he was trying to hold so many feelings back. Anger, annoyance, hatred… basically the aggravated side of the spectrum of emotions burned up inside of his system. It jabbed as his lungs, wanting him to release the hot air in a low, enraged snarl. He could probably breathe fire at this point, for all that he knew, but he still tried to stay composed… with very little reluctance. His shoulders shuddering, he made a slight hissing noise between his teeth before huffing through his nostrils.
Was this girl even real? Surely not. He must have been dreaming this whole encounter - there was no way someone could be this fake and annoying and still be alive to keep it up. But at the same
